I am so sorry for being such a bearer of bad news. This is a 2018 (the most updated) program. Yet I had paid $60+ for this piece of buggy crap. Just wanted to add - Tuxera sucks too! I watched a file literally (sizewise) go to zero bytes when I changed its filename. The world isn't going to convert to HFS+ or whatever their newest file system is (which has caused me no end of hassles). Tuxera-only advanced features include support for NTFS extended attributes. The software fully supports all OS X versions starting from 10.4 (Tiger) including OS X El Capitan. Apple had better get down their high horse. Tuxera NTFS for Mac delivers the fastest NTFS file transfer speeds on a Mac while protecting your data with it’s new, smart caching layer. There are simply too many NTFS files around. Yeah, right! If Apple doesn't come out with their own ability to read/write NTFS drives, I'm moving back to Microsoft. We will get back to you as soon as possible. Oh, here's a typical response from my email:Īt the moment we are unable to process your response in a timely manner, we apologize for the inconvenience. What a fricking nightmare! And support expects you to send them all sorts of generated system files in order to get a response! Temporarily setting an external drive to "read only" permanently makes that drive read only unless you want to delete and reinstall the driver, or mess with fstab. The product expects you to shell out more money every couple of years.
